Rodgers flashes Heisman form in Chargers rout

Johnny Rodgers spurned the San Diego Chargers when he went to the Canadian Football League after winning the Heisman Trophy at Nebraska.

But four years later, Rodgers showed the explosiveness that made him one of the greatest college football players of all time as he caught two long touchdown passes as the Charges beat the Kansas City Chiefs 38-14.

In the second quarter, Rodgers caught a short pass from James Harris and then raced 60 yards for a score. That was Harris' lone highlight as he was benched for Dan Fouts, who hit Rodgers for a 37 yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.

Rodgers finished with 153 yards receiving and San Diego rolled up 459 yards of offense to improve to 2-0.
