Seahawks stun Colts

Seattle QB Jim Zorn hit Steve Largent for two touchdown passes as the sophomoric Seahawks beat the Baltimore Colts 17-14 in the Kingdome.

The Colts struck in the first quarter with a Bert Jones to Raymond Chester 8 yard TD pass.

Zorn went deep to Largent for 66 yards to tie the game at 7 in the second quarter. The Colts regained the lead on a Lydell Mitchell 3 yard score with under a minute to go in the half.

The Colts got greedy on their first drive in the third quarter. With 1st and goal from the 2, Baltimore ran the ball on four straight plays, only to be denied by the Seattle defense on all four downs.

On their next drive, the Colts again made it inside the 10-yard line, but Autry Beamon intercepted Jones in the end zone.

Zorn hooked up with Largent for their second score on a 7 yard TD pass midway through the 4th quarter.

When asked about eschewing the field goal early in the third quarter, Colts Head Coach Ted Marchibroda said after the game that if his team could score on four plays from two yards out, they "didn't deserve to win the !@#$^^%$@! game."
