Patriots dismantle Chiefs

 New England sacked Kansas City's quarterbacks nine times as the Patriots pounded the Chiefs 31-7.

Steve Grogan tossed two touchdown passes and Sam Cunningham ran for two scores as New England sets it sights for a playoff appearance.

Chiefs QB Mike Livingston fumbled on the team's third play and gave the Patriots the ball deep in KC territory. Things never got better for the Chiefs, who rolled up some garbage rushing yards in the second half with the Pats in a prevent defense.

Steve Zabel and Julius Adams each had 3 sacks for New England.
